Sound and hearing

Today base 6 did a fact file on animals with excellent hearing and wrote facts about why the animal needed to have good hearing.

Sound

Today we made some megaphones one A3 sheet and one A4 sheet and took them outside. One half of our groups had the two megaphones and another group had a musical instrument. Sound and hearing in base 6

We got to use insterments and tested them out and see what sound it makes. We tested the tunning fork and it vibrated on our fingers we had a basket and a band and swing it and it vibrates 

Ruler on the table

Place the ruler on the table. Gently press on the end of the ruler and let go. The sound is a vibration.

Rubber band

Get the rubber band in you’re and hand  and pull it and it vibrates.

Band on a basket 

You put the band on the basket and then pull the band  and it vibrates.

Tunning fork

When you  hit the fork on the table and put it in water and the water shakes if you hit it again on the table and put it against you’re hand and you’re hand will tingle.

Triangle 

If you hand a triangle in the air whith you’re hand  and tap it whith any metal it vibrates

Base 6 Timelines

In topic today we learned about time lines  and made a time line from 1901 to 2016 . We done it in pears of 2/3 and found some information on the iPads  that we didn’t know when they started .

I searched about when Manchester City started to play and how good Joe Hart is.My friends searched about mostly World War Two.
